Fabric dye for dyeing without boiling. The dye powder is suitable for dyeing and refreshing cotton, silk, linen, knitwear, viscose, and mixed fabrics (up to 50% synthetics) at temperatures between 30–60 °C.
The content of a 15g package is sufficient for dyeing approximately 500g of fabric.
Store the dye in a dry place. The product is not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
Preparation:
Soak pre-washed fabric in warm water for approximately 15 minutes. Dissolve the contents of the package in 1 liter of hot water, add 2 handfuls of salt, and mix thoroughly.
Hand dyeing:
In an enamel pot, immerse the fabric to be dyed in warm water. It must be completely submerged and float freely during dyeing. Add the dissolved dye, mix, and heat to approximately 30-60°C for about 60 minutes, stirring frequently. The higher the temperature, the greater the color intensity and the washfastness of the dyed material. Allow the material to remain submerged until the water cools. Rinse in cold water until it no longer bleeds. It is recommended not to wring the fabric vigorously; blot it dry and allow it to air dry. Do not dry in direct sunlight.
Machine dyeing:
Set the washing machine to a 40-60°C wash cycle without pre-wash. Pour the dissolved dye into the detergent dispenser for laundry. Place the fabric in the washing machine and start the wash cycle. Do not use the spin cycle; rinse manually. Do not dry in direct sunlight.
Useful tips!
After hand dyeing: The dyed product may slightly lose its color intensity and fade after each wash in the washing machine. After dyeing, you can add a little vinegar to the last rinse to make the color more durable.
When machine dyeing: After washing in the washing machine, the color may not be durable.
If one masters the use of fabric dyes, a definite and predictable result can be achieved. When dyeing for the first time or trying new colors, the outcome can never be predicted. The final result depends on various factors: the dye from a specific manufacturer, the composition of the material to be dyed, the ratio of dye to material, etc. It should be noted that sometimes the final result turns out even better than expected, but sometimes one must be prepared for failure.
