Fabric dye for both hand and machine dyeing. The dye powder is also suitable for batik dyeing. One package dyes approximately 1kg of dry material.
The dye will dye cotton, linen, silk, jute, viscose, nylon and blended fabrics (e.g. polyester + cotton). The dye will not dye some man-made fibers.
Store the paint in a dry place. The product is not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
Preparation:
Soak the previously washed fabric in warm water for about 15 minutes, add 1 handful of salt. Dissolve the contents of the package in 1 liter of water and add 1 handful of salt, mix thoroughly.
Hand painting:
In an enameled container, immerse the fabric to be dyed in warm water. It should be completely submerged and float freely during dyeing. Add the dissolved dye, stir and heat to a temperature of approximately 40-60°C, stirring frequently. The higher the temperature, the greater the intensity of the color and the resistance of the dyed material to washing. Allow the material to remain submerged until the water turns cold. Rinse in cold water until it no longer dyes. It is recommended not to wring the fabric hard, drain and let it dry. Do not dry in direct sunlight.
Dyeing in a washing machine:
Set the washing program to 40-60°C without pre-washing. If the washing temperature of the material to be dyed allows it, you can set the washing machine to 90°C, then the color will be more durable and intense. Pour the dissolved dye into the metal container for laundry . Place the fabric in the washing machine and start washing. Do not use a centrifuge, rinse manually. Do not dry in direct sunlight.
The paint does not damage the washing machine.
Useful! After hand dyeing: The dyed product may lose some of its color intensity and fade after each washing in the washing machine. After dyeing, you can add a little vinegar to the last rinse to make the color more durable.
When dyeing in the washing machine: After washing in the washing machine, the color may not be stable.
If you know how to use fabric paints, you can achieve a certain and predictable result. When dyeing for the first time or trying new colors, you can never predict what the result will be. The final result depends on various factors: the color of the respective manufacturer, the composition of the material to be dyed, the ratio of the color to the material to be dyed, etc. It should be noted that sometimes the final result turns out even better than expected, but sometimes you have to expect failure.
