Studs can be used as feet on the bottom of a bag to prevent it from wearing out and to extend its lifespan.

Attaching the stud is simple. Make a small hole or incision with an awl. Thread the stud through. Slide the thin metal fastening piece onto the stud's 'legs' and firmly bend the stud's 'legs' outwards, away from each other.
