Soft velvet upholstery fabric for indoor furniture. The upholstery fabric is suitable for covering sofas, chairs, and decorative cushions, as well as for sewing various accessories.
The fabric is designed with water-repellent properties. The material is coated with a special (impregnated) protective layer that prevents liquid from soaking into the fabric immediately. Instead of soaking in, the liquid remains on the surface of the material, giving you time to easily wipe the fabric surface with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Fabric properties:
- Matte
- Thick
- Soft with a velvet effect, pleasant to the touch
- Elegant appearance
- The velvety surface is smooth and does not show "footprints"

Tear resistance – this indicates the strength of the fabric (woven threads – warp and weft) under various surface and load conditions. This coefficient is indicated in Newtons (N); the higher the Newtons, the more durable the fabric. Under heavy load conditions, at least 60 N is required.
Pilling test – fabrics with a coefficient of 3 may be prone to pilling (formation of small fiber balls). It is recommended to choose a fabric with a coefficient of 4.
Color fastness to light – a fabric with a coefficient of 4-5 is sufficient for home use, but it is not recommended to leave furniture in direct sunlight, as the color may fade and white spots may appear on the fabric. If furniture is intended for use on a porch or near a window with direct sunlight, it is necessary to choose a fabric with a coefficient of 6.
Martindale abrasion test (abrasion resistance) – simulates the natural wear of a seat cover, where a sample of textile material is rubbed against a standard abrasive surface with a certain force. For home use, a fabric that scores 30,000 cycles in the test is sufficient; for restaurants and hotels – 50,000.
