Make sure the patch is not crooked;\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eHeat the iron. Turn it to the hottest setting appropriate for the base material. Make sure the \"steam\" option is off and that your iron is not full of water;\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePlace a thin towel or heat-resistant paper over the patch. Be careful not to move the patch. The towel will protect the patch itself and the base surface from heat;\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePlace the iron on the patch and towel, pressing gently for about 15 seconds. Remove the iron and let the patch cool;\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLift the towel and check if the patch is securely fastened by gently lifting its edge with your finger.
